Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions, and we have answers! Below you we have included information on different questions customers have had for us in the past. If you still have questions always feel free to reach out via our contact form, text, email, or a phone call.
Frequently Asked Spring Start-Up Questions:
What’s included in a sprinkler start-up service?
We safely bring your system online, test every zone, adjust heads for proper coverage, program your controller, and provide clear repair recommendations (no work done without approval).
When is my spring start up appointment?
We send out an email 1-2 weeks in advance for your start-up appointment date. The email will contain a link to fill out our confirmation form, and to also add any notes you would like our technician to know before your appointment. If the schedule date doesn’t work for you we can reschedule you (just note rescheduling can delay your start-up for a couple weeks).
What time will the technician be at my home?
The night prior to your scheduled appointment you will recieve a text message with the projected arrival window for your appointment. You will also receive a text message the day of your appointment when the technician is in route to your location.
*Arrival times may vary depending on how quickly your technician is completing jobs prior to your appointment that day*
Do I need to be home for my appointment?
No, all we need to is either the water supply to be turned on before the appointment with the spigot/cap attached properly (before the water is turned on). Also, we need access to your sprinkler controller if it is located inside the house (most likely in your garage).
*If you need our technician to turn on the water for you, and you are not able to be home we would just need to be informed of the best way to access your water turn on/off valve.*
When is it okay for me to turn on my water for Start-up?
It is important to wait until at-least mid April in Minnesota, we all know there’s a chance for a late freeze. If you turn on your system too early it can lead to freeze damage to pipes, valves, and your backflow device… which can lead to costly repairs.
Frequently Asked Fall winterization Questions:
What is included in a sprinkler winterization?
We shut off the water, drain the system, and blow out all lines using a high-volume commercial air compressor to prevent freeze damage.
When should I winterize my sprinkler system?
Before the first hard freeze. Usually September through October in Minnesota.
When is my fall winterization appointment?
We send out an email 1-2 weeks in advance for your winterization appointment date. The email will contain a link to fill out our confirmation form, and to also add any notes you would like our technician to know before your appointment.
* If you would prefer a late season winterization appointment, that is available with a late winterization fee *
No, all we need access to your water turn off valve (residential water customers), and controller.
* When booking an appointment make sure to mention if you aren’t able to be home, so we can add notes for the best way to our technicians to access what is required *
